7 Best Caribbean Golf Courses For 2016. #4 Lives Up To Its Name!

May 14, 2023 | Category : Blogs | Tag: , .

Golf is truly one of the best and most fitting activities to enjoy in the Caribbean Golf Courses, as this unique environment filled with incredible sceneries has led to some of the world’s most renowned golf courses being built here.

Best Caribbean Golf Courses 2016

With that in mind, in today’s article we give you the best Caribbean golf courses for 2016 – pick one from your favorite island on our list, and experience some of the best golf you ever played!

1. Four Seasons Resort, Nevis Caribbean Golf Courses

With a length of 6,766 yards (par 71), the Four Seasons Resort in Nevis was closed for a while in 2008 only to be re-opened better than ever – making it an excellent choice this year.

It is one of several golf courses designed by Robert Trent Jones II, and it features a number of ocean-side holes as well as a dramatic backdrop facilitated by the volcanic slopes of Nevis Peak.

The most memorable hole is number 15 (at the highest point), where you’ll enjoy amazing sceneries of sister island St. Kitts as you’ll take on the 600-yard par-five.

2. CuisinArt Golf Resort & Spa, Anguilla Caribbean Golf Courses

One of the most widely known resorts in Anguilla, CuisinArt offers a golf course right at the beachfront of Rendezvous Bay – making for breath-taking views throughout.

An 18-hole course designed by Greg Norman with an investment of $50 million, the course is conveniently complemented by expansive spa facilities, treatment rooms, on-site restaurants, and a wet room.

Particularly memorable is the very first hole, from where you’ll enjoy incredible views of nearby St. Maarten.

3. Green Monkey, Barbados

With a length of 7,343 yards (par 72), this golf resort was so named because it resembles the shape of a monkey as it zigzags across the island’s rocky landscape.

Designed by Tom Fazio, the course may initially seem like it cannot justify the high hype and high expense. But patience is a virtue – and yours is sure to pay off after the 9th hole, as you’ll drop through the man-made quarry in pursuit of the 635-yard score.

That said, the signature hole is number 16 – where incredible green views await.

4. One & Only Ocean Club, Bahamas

The first out of two Bahamas golf courses on our list, the One & Only Ocean Club has its name for a reason – there is none other like it on this paradisiac island.

Designed by championship-winning golfer Tom Weiskopf, the Ocean Club Golf Course is host to the annual Michael Jordan Invitational – and Jordan is a frequent player here for a reason.

The course features jaw-dropping ocean views throughout, as well as a Balinese-style spa, two outdoor pools, and gourmet restaurants.

5. Sandals Emerald Reef Golf Club, Bahamas

The second Bahemian resort on our list features a championship course spanning over 7,200 yards (par 72) on the island of Great Exuma, and it is also the second course on our list to have been designed by Greg Norman.

Six of its holes are located on the coastline, culminating in truly spectacular ocean views.

Its signature hole is number 14th, our favorite tee shot in the Caribbean. You’ll be surrounded by the Atlantic on 3 sides as you attempt the shot, its waves playing a music that will help you focus like never before.

6. Tucker’s Point Golf Course, Bermuda

Another championship golf course featuring commonly spectacular Caribbean views throughout, Tucker’s Point is part of a 200-acre resort featuring several pools and restaurants, a spa, and a private beach.

The 18-hole course designed by Roger Rulewich is a real-world golfer’s paradise, featuring a pro shop and plentiful green all around. It also allows access to the exclusive Mid Ocean Golf Club.

7. Newstead Belmont Golf Course, Bermuda

The second golf course from Bermuda on our list, Newstead Belmont is a laid-back, breezy, and modern resort – standing as one of the very few properties built on the island over the last 10 years.

The resort as a whole has raised the luxury bar on the island, featuring modern rooms, gourmet restaurants, an incredible infinity-edge pool and a serene spa. The excellent course only complements this offer, as a free golf round is included with the room rate.

The course itself was designed by renowned architect Algie M. Pulley Jr. back in 2002, and it features breath-taking ocean views that are sure to impress.
